How to Use the Copy/Paste Workflow

Alternative Workflows

The fastest way to get an AI shot list: paste your scene text, in any language or draft format, and generate. No PDF or screenplay formatting required.

Overview

The Copy/Paste workflow lets you shotlist any scene without uploading a full script file. Instead of uploading a PDF, you paste your scene text directly — one scene at a time. This is ideal if your script is in an early draft, uses non-standard formatting, or if your PDF upload keeps failing.

It works in any language and with any level of draft quality. Don't worry about the formatting — ShotKraft reads the content and generates shots from whatever you give it. Make sure to describe the action. It is impossible to shotlist feelings, smells, and sounds. Think of what we'll see on screen.

Steps

  1. Start a new project.

  2. Choose the Copy/Paste workflow.

  3. Name your project.

  4. Enter scene number and slug line (optional).

  5. Paste your scene text, or just type it out. Don't worry about formatting.

  6. Generate shotlist.

Tips

Works in any language or early draft format.
