Some of My Scenes are Missing — What Happened?

Getting Started Shotlisting
Overview
If you uploaded a script in PDF but some of the scenes are missing in the breakdown, the most likely explanation is that the missing scene is "stuck" to the preceding scene. This happens occasionally, when our software fails to detect a scene, usually due to a formatting issue in the slugline.
Non-Standard Sluglines
ShotKraft identifies scenes by looking for sluglines that begin with INT. or EXT. — the standard screenplay format for scene headers. If a scene header is formatted differently, ShotKraft may attach it to the previous scene in error.
Examples that cause scenes to be missed:
SCENE 3 — THE KITCHEN — DAY (missing INT. or EXT.)
FLASHBACK — HOSPITAL HALLWAY (no INT/EXT prefix)
CONTINUOUS used as a standalone scene header
How to Fix It
If you can edit your script: Add INT. or EXT. to the beginning of any slugline that's missing it, then re-upload.
If you can't edit the script: You have 2 options.
Relabel the scene number to include the stuck scene and shotlist the stuck scenes together. For example, Scene 2 is missing because it is stuck to Scene 1. Relabel Scene 1 to Scene 1-2.
Use the Copy/Paste workflow to paste the missing scene and shotlist it manually.
