Working in Table View

For 1st ADs and production managers, the shot list is a scheduling tool. Sorting and filtering in Table View lets you pull every interior shot, every shot on Camera B, or every shot at one location in seconds.

Overview

Table View lets you sort your shots by any column and filter them by a single attribute — handy for zeroing in on a specific subset of your shot list, like all interior shots or everything assigned to a particular camera. Sorting and filtering work together, so you can, for example, filter to INT shots and then sort by shot type.

How to Sort by a Column

  1. In Table View, find the column you want to sort by (e.g., Shot Type, Location, Camera).

  2. Click the column header. An arrow will appear indicating the sort direction (ascending or descending).

  3. Click the header again to reverse the sort order.

  4. To clear the sort and return to the default order, click the header a third time, or click the Clear Sort chip that appears near the top of the table.

How to Filter by an Attribute (Column)

The Filter menu in Table View

  1. Click the Filter button near the top of the table.

  2. A dropdown will appear. Select the attribute (the column) you want to filter by — for example, Type, Camera, Location, or Subject.

  3. Apply logic (select an operator) — for example: contains, equals, starts with.

  4. Choose a value from the list (e.g., select INT to show only interior shots).

  5. The table will immediately update to show only matching shots. A filter chip will appear at the top so you can see what's active.

  6. To remove the filter, click the × on the filter chip, or click Filter again and clear your selection.

Tips

  • Only one filter can be active at a time in the current beta — more filter options are coming.

  • Filters apply across all scenes. If you're in grouped view, scenes with no matching shots will be hidden automatically.

  • Sort order persists while you have a filter active. If you sort by Camera and then add a filter, the filtered results will still be sorted.

  • Clearing a sort or filter doesn't affect your shot data — it only changes what you're looking at.
